It's been performing flawlessly until now. When I get on the interstate and up to speed to where it shifts into overdrive, the transmission flares before going into gear. What I mean is if I'm under 3k rpm and it is about to shift the tach needle goes up to about 4k and then shifts into overdrive. It also seems to flare a bit if I'm in town going slower but it's not as noticeable as it only flares a couple of hundred rpm's. And it doesn't seem to do it every time in town.
It also has the slipyoke binding issue that I am going to take care of but I don't think it's related.
Any ideas if there is an additive I can put in the transmission to try and alleviate this? Or should I just try a flush myself using Valvoline Maxlife instead of the Toyota WS? I have a hard time believing it's the fluid as it onl has about 25k on it.
Thanks!

You might try adding the additive "Shudder Fixx", not sure if it will help with the issue you're having or not, it formulated to stop torque converter shudder and most here add it when they do the fluid exchange.
You can find it at most auto parts stores, on some of the tubes it may say Dr Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx, or it may just say Lubegard Instant Shudder Fixx, but either is the same product made by the same company.
