A while back I bought a Caliper, Rotor, and Pad kit from Rock Auto that was made by Power Stop(P/N: KCOE137). The issue I realized, but am not totally convinced is my actual problem, is that that kit is for 319mm rotors and I have a sport with 338mm rotors.
Didn't seem like an issue(lost a little braking performance maybe), I shaved the dust cover and viola, not a problem....but there is a problem.
When I went to put the right side rim back on and back it out of the garage, there was a horrible rubbing sensation. Pulled it back in immediately and noticed that the brake caliper is rubbing on the Right side wheel just outside the hub(see pics). Both of the brake calipers say they are the 13WG casting, but there look oddly different being that they are the same manufacturer(again, see pics).
Is there anything that I am missing? Is it possible that in some way the 16" calipers/rotors are not compatible with the larger 17" sport wheels? If so, why is the left side fine and the right side not?
To head off any other questions, I submitted a warranty claim with Rock Auto and they send another caliper(looked the exact same) that also doesn't fit. I tried a different wheel, same problem. I called Power Stop, they were puzzled and said give us your info and we'll be in touch...nothing heard yet.
ANY HELP PLEASE!
