@shmabs I started with the Shrockworks dual battery kit.
Dual Battery Kit for 2010-2014 FJ Cruiser and 5th Generation 4Runner

I liked that it had the bracket for the power steering reservoir built in. Even though it was designed for an Optima battery, I figured I could cut the end off and let the larger Odyssey battery extend a little passed.

Problem with this setup is the reservoir ends up rubbing against the upper radiator hose.

To get around this, I had the bracket cut from the battery plate and a small L-shaped piece of metal welded to it and then attached to the fender well further back to avoid the rubbing.

You could just trim/modify the existing bracket so it sits further back like I did and go with a different battery plate. I also had the seams along the fender well tack welded to reinforce it for the extra weight. I had read where sometimes this area would separate with the additional weight and bouncing when offload.

I plan to mount my arb compressor in the spot behind the battery. The opposite of @blackoutt 's setup

Here is the Prado tray kit I got from Australia. It includes the ps reservoir relocation bracket and hardware needed to install behind the headlight.
I think I'll give it another coat of something, the zinc plating is decent, but probably not good enough for PA winter road salt.

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who replied. I decided to go with Off Grid's extra battery tray since they were local to me and it looked like the least amount of changes as well as I'm running an Odyssey Extreme for my starting battery. I'll update the post when I'm finished.

Finished up today, well almost. Still waiting on a Deutsch DTM 6Pin DTM06-6S DTM04-6P for the ML-ACR so it's completely clean. I had to do a little modification for the Shrockworks tray and upped the rivets to 5/32 to compensate for the loss of the stock battery tray "pins" to body holds (see photo).

List of materials:
1/0 15FT red/black Windy Nation wire
Blue Sea ML-ACR (500A) – Isolator
(2) Blue Sea Systems 187 Series, 285 Series & Klixon Circuit Breakers
Blue Sea Systems Common BusBars (100A-250A)
Blue Sea Systems MEGA/AMG Safety Fuse Block
Bussmann AMG-300 AMG High-Current Stud Mount Fuse - 300 Amp Rating
UFORCE 1/0 AWG Wire Lugs 3/8 & 5/16
SELTERM UL Listed Heavy Duty Wire Lugs 3/8 (5)
Off-Grid Dual battery tray
OGE Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Blue Sea Systems ML-ACR
Shrockworks Battery tray
Odyssey Extreme 34R-PC1500T
Ampper Military Spec Battery Terminal, Top Post
Deutsch DTM 6Pin DTM06-6S DTM04-6P
Young4us 2 Pack 3/4'' Heat Shrink Tube 3:1 Adhesive-Lined

Nice - all electronics still behaving nicely? Leaning at diving into it, after a few years of drooling over a dual optima setup. Not having the milliseconds/seconds of self-doubt if I have a dead battery camping that I charged my spare in the trunk, and can locate the jumper cables, would be worth it alone .

Sold the rig but as far as I know still performing well.

I just installed a very similar setup on my new Tundra build because I missed the utility of it so much.
