Moog FJ spring problem
I've read that the rear springs weren't sitting correctly and people were modding it by cutting about 1/4 of the end off to get it sit correctly. I don't have the tools to cut it. How did everyone get the Moog FJ springs to sit correctly? I've also read some people just drove it without getting it sit properly. Is that another option?

I had one that seated fine (passenger) and one that didn't. Wound up just driving it for a while until it popped into place.

how many estimated miles did you drive before it popped into place?
I am hoping that it pops into place while driving too.

I think it popped after a couple times around my parking lot, biiig speed bumps. Make it flex, it can't exactly fall out. Take it to a shopping center with speed bumps or take it off road a little bit and the constant moving will cause it to pop in. You'll know, the sound it makes is unmistakeable

20k+ miles later, mine haven’t completely seated but they stay in place and don’t make noise so....they’re fine with me.

That Moog makes a spring that clearly doesn’t fit correctly is pretty bizarre.

Right? I think I'm gonna ride these out until I find some used rear FJ coils. It's bothering me mentally even though the ride feels fine. lol

I got mine from the classifieds on the FJ Cruiser forum. $70 shipped was probably a little rich for ‘07 springs but they were brand new and have been stellar on and off road so I’m happy.
