2003 occasionally has no throttle until car is turned off and back on

The car is idling fine, will be driving fine and occasionally when stopped at a light I will go to move out and there is no throttle response but the car is running fine.
I assume it has something to do with the electronic throttle. However I haven’t really found any good troubleshooting guides.

Any suggestions?

These are the codes
P0121
P0122
P0222
P2135

You're going to have a little patience and give your question some time, not too many visit the forum on the weekends, most are out enjoying their time off work.

Also your issue is not very common so you may have to wait even longer for someone that may have had the same problem that they were "able" to find the issue causing it.

However all of your codes are for the Throttle Position Sensor and or possibly the Pedal/Accelerator Position Sensor, unfortunately on 4th Gen T4R you can't replace the Throttle Position Sensor without replacing the throttle body because it's built into it and not a separate device.

The last code you have listed is that the 2 sensor mentioned above aren't syncing with each other, meaning they aren't sensing the same voltage and they should be doing so.

It maybe something as simple as cleaning your throttle body or you may have to replace the throttle body or the accelerator sensor.

Just another thought is that you could have a electrical connector that isn't making a good connection especially if you live in a rust/corrosion prone area, try checking the connector to the throttle body.

I would start doing that and then go to cleaning the throttle body.

Can you identify the connections related to electronic throttle first. When the problem happens and safe to do so , unplug / plug the connections to simulate engine restart. Have you load tested the battery?

Found the problem.. one of the wires going into the plug at the throttle body was half broken in the plug... when I would play with it it would act up... I pulled it apart and soldered it and it’s all good now
