So I was driving one day and I turned on some old 70's 80's music from the country, nothing bass crazy or anything just chill songs. Then every sudden beat drop or loud noise in a song the rear speaker makes a violent noise almost like im hitting a pothole and shit goes flyin around back there. But it's consistent too and doesnt stop. Tried different music, tried crankin it all the way up because really im out of options. I dont believe the rear speaker is blown, but i'm just wondering if anyone has had this issue before. Below is a link to a YouTube video of my speaker issue...

Nope, havent done a thing to it. I dont want to investigate opening the panel until I find a right guide to open it. Dont want to break any clips or something like that

Mine does the same but only once in a while if I turn the volume up too much when there's a lot of bass in the tune, I'm not really sure but I think the paper cone on the sub speaker probably has a small tear in it which either it can be repaired using a good water proof glue for wood or paper to seal the tear, if it just a small tear just the glue will usually seal it rather well, for a bigger tear you can also add paper to both sides of the cone as you're gluing it sorta like a splint or replace the speaker.

The glue doesn't really need to be water proof but as a finish wood worker/cabinet builder I know that the water proof glues dries stronger than regular glue and you won't have to worry about the glue deteriorating due to humidity, you can also use a good fingernail polish to seal the tear.

There are videos on YouTube showing how to repair a tear in the paper cone of a speaker using glue.

There is a how-to posted on the forum on how to properly remove the side panel and access the speaker, there is also at least one other "How-to" on how to remove the side panel but I wouldn't recommend doing that "shortcut" way as it does tend to break some of the tabs, the proper way involves removing the small side of the back seat if I recall.

I repaired my sub with elmers glue per the youtube videos for now as it was all separated and sounded awful. You can get new surround foam for quite a bit cheaper than a new speaker, I posted the info a few months ago but so far the glue is good enough.
