Daystar lift questions

Hey guys so I've decided to go with a Daystar 2.5 spacer lift on my vehicle. Any feedback, recommendations, any of you have? I do little to no off roading and just need something to level the vehicle out after purchasing 265/70/17 Duratracs. I know I will need an alignment afterwards but does this lift change the specifications for the alignment at all or is factory spec still ok? Also will I still have front rake with this lift?

Yes you will get your alignment in specs, accept Caster. It will be low #, but you can drive and see if you like it. Or you can get aftermarket UCA then you will be 100% in factories specs. I went this way once. Good luck with your lift!

Awesome sounds good. I don't think bad caster is that much of a deal honestly 😂 My gas mileage went down the drain already with these duratracs!

Bad (too low) caster makes the vehicle wander. If you're OK with that, it won't wear the tires or reduce gas mileage. However, when I put on aftermarket UCA's and increased the caster from 2 degrees to around 3.8, the highway tracking greatly improved and made the vehicle a joy to drive on the highway instead of something of a pain.

As I said, you may be OK with wandering - I wasn't.

Yes this is actually what is going to be. Driving not to be a fun anymore.

Well like the RonJR said your driving won’t be the same. It took me 7 months to get used to it, and guess what, I didn’t. Now I’ve got my OEM shocks laying in my basement with $400 worth spacers on the top of it. Changed All suspensions with UCAS , now what I am calling driving. Don’t waste your money on spacers like I did.

Daystar 2.5 is ok. I've got it. Paired with factory struts, probably level. KYBs and it is level or slightly up depending on the day or parking spot. I have the KYB strut plus.
It is a little wandery on rutted highways, but fine for 8-hour-drives cross-country.
It's cheap and it'll look better. If you tow or put any loads, the front will point up unless you upgrade the rear or supplement with airbags. Just a matter of it previously having several inches of rake to compensate for that effect.
Next lift I ever do would likely be a real lift.
