What may happen, after bolting a snorkel, it will take few days before main pipe will start flexing/adjusting to fender and a-pillar curves, so I suggest to tighten snorkel just snug at first, drive few days, then tighten all the way for best fit. I didn't drill a pillar, just trimmed the black metal bracket and bolted it to snorkel pipe only and glued a piece of rubber seal between a bracket and a pillar to stop pipe rubbing on paint.
I hope all that makes sense

I did not use this part, i bought aluminium short pipe for better flow and 2 more 90 degree flex silicone hoses.

This is how it looks like now, i also turned intake head other way because too much mud and dirt was being caught when I was punching through mud pits.

Well, it looks like prices have doubled on alternatives and the Australian merchant no longer has stock.

would you mind posting the link for the exact hole saw you used. been searching through amazon, conflicting reviews on many decently priced hole saws

lol, have refreshed this page over 5x today already, was hoping you ould not forget.
seen it on amazon, guess it was among the cutters i skipped, cos of not too good reviews.folks complained it was a one time cutter
HSS BI-Metal, DEEP Cut Hole Saw with Arbor, 3-3/4" - 95MM Diameter: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific
guess i may pick a bosch or a lenox cutter instead

Ok gents,
Let me start off by saying I apologize for pulling up an old thread but I dont have enough posts to start my own thread. I have an 08 4runner sr5 with the v6 that I've been looking at putting a snorkel on. Need some help sifting through all this. Are these lc 80 or lc 100 kits off ebay any worthwhile? Do any of them for certain work with my 4runner. Thanks all for the help.
