2006 4Runner Zero Point Calibration
Sorry if this is posted anywhere but I was searching and couldn't find specific thread for the 2006 4runner to do the zero point calibration. Its a little diffrent then the 03-04 4runners
Step 1. Park the 4Runner on a very flat surface. Put it in park with the radio off, ac off, and steering wheel dead straight.
Step 2. Take 2 paper clips or 2 peices of wires and Connect each one to the pin 4 and pin 12, but the wires/paperclips are not supposed to touch each other.
Step 3. Put the truck in the "ON" postion and quickly tap the wires/paperclips together quickly 4 times. For me, the ABS light started flashing while the other lights were on. Then turn the 4Runner off.
Step 4. Without the wires/paperclips touching, put the key back in the on position and let the car sit for 20-seconds.For me, the vcs light. traction light all stayed on this whole time. After about 20-25 seconds, put the key in the off postion.
Step 5. Connect the wires/paperclip together and while holding them together, put they key in the on position. The ABS light should start to Flash. Keep holding them together for 20-25 seconds and while still holding them, turn the key to off.
That should be it. Worked on my 2006 4Runner V6 4x4
