So on Monday of this week, the GF and I decided to head up near Breckenridge, CO for a night of camping, and perhaps some wheeling. We found a great camp spot, and some CRAZY trails! I highly recommend it!
Tiger Road is where we were at.
So as soon as we hit the trail, we hit it hard.. a little too hard!!! I had made some brackets for 10" travel ProComp ES9000's that totally sheared off (will be re-doing them with some ribbed/gusseted ones soon) so we went down the mountain and on the highway to Frisco with NO shocks to Lowe's to re-mount my old Rancho RS9000xl's. WOOF!
I bought super long grade 8 bolts, some fat washers, and locktite to do the parking lot fix-mind you, we wheeled on these HARD the next day- I feel as this can be a legit fix IF you are up a creek!!
So once these were fixed, we headed into Breck and got some groceries then headed back up the mountains where we found a slice of heaven!!!
We spent some time fishing that eve, then cooked over the fire. That night, we drowned the ring with 6 gal of water and spread the ash. The next morning, we headed up Middle Swan Fork Trail. Here are some photos!
Crossing the tree-line
Stuck behind a Jeep club that was 18 Jeeps strong!
The view of where we came from..
