Identifying OEM CV Axles?

Is there any sure fire way to tell original Toyota cv axles from aftermarket replacements? Going to look at a 4Runner at a pick-it yard and need some cv axles. Would hate to end up with some used junk aftermarket ones.

Yes there's photos posted on the forum of what the OEM looks like but I don't have time this morning to find them or a website that shows them, if no one else post something I will try and find it after work.

OEM CVs have a lobed design (right side img).
Aftermarket are typically fully round.

I thought I recalled some, but the threads I have been able to find were all in the 3rd gen forum.

There is no surefire way to tell because some companies remanufacture the OEM housing with chinese bearings and the CV's look exactly like Toyota CV's. Autozone CV's look similar to the pic in the previous post, but Napa CV's also look round and exactly like factory. But they are not. It is really just guessing unless the parts came from a Toyota dealer in an unopened box.

Funny thing, I got one in an opened Toyota box once and it was a new Napa CV in the Toyota bag that some customer returned and kept the factory piece.
