sorry for the late reply. But thanks! i like them a lot. for 100 bucks shipped they’re great. no condensation yet. but it doesn’t really rain here in SD. as for light beam it’s pretty much the same as oem. i got cheap $10 LEDs off amazon so it made them way brighter too

The nice thing about the Spec D headlights is that it seems like they come with the LED light built into the headlight assembly.
i bought them brand new in box off a person on offer up. they came ready to install so no need for bulbs unless you want to replace them for whatever reason. oem bulbs don’t fit so you’ll need to get h11 bulbs i think.

Couple new posts coming soon. I recently trimmed the front fender flares 2 inches higher all around for more clearance, and because I ripped one off booking it over the whoops at Pismo Dunes haha.

Also just did a flowmaster 40 series exhaust a couple weeks ago. Cut off the old muffler, welded on the 40 series and dumped it before the axle. Way more aggressive and makes the V8 sound better.

Loving the runner! Did you have to perform BCM with the tire/lift combo?

Regarding the headlights, it will look and perform so much better if you get the retrofit. I have it on mine and I refuse to ever go back to stock.

Thanks dude! and yeah, after I put the 1.25 spacer up front I had to chop the body mount. It rubbed like hell at any turn. It wasn't that bad before the spacers tho. Took maybe an hour with prep to cut it with a cutting wheel/grinder.

Eventually I'd like to do the same or put a BD squadron in my high beams. I've seen it a couple times on Instagram.

I'll get to the flowmaster install pics someday lol, but went out to Pine Valley this past weekend. Super fun with all the mud. Here's some pics. Might be able to notice the fender flare trim in the front. Also plasti dipped my fronts gold just for fun.

Here's a link to the steps I took to trim the front fenders. I definitely regret not taking pictures along the way but I just followed the original thread. linked that thread too. 4th gen front fender flare trim

yeeeaaah. Gotta love splashing around and getting dirty. Also the weather was great. 55-60 degrees is way better than the heat SD has been getting.

40 series install

So instead of paying 400 bucks for a borla or 700 for a magnaflow catback system, I decided to pick up a flowmaster 40 series from amazon with a turn down tip. I ended up getting 2.5 inch outside diameter pipe and a 2.25 to 2.5 diameter conversion pipe, as the original pipe is 2.25 inch outside diameter.

To remove the old rusted exhaust, I snapped the bolts connecting the y pipe to the muffler pipe, took off the hangers and used a sawzaw to cut the pipe that bends around the axle off from the muffler for easier removal. Drilled out the old bolts and later used a new pair of bolt/washers/nuts.

To keep the existing flange and hanger, I cut off the old muffler from the pipe. Using a 2.25 to 2.5 adapter, I connected the the original pipe to the 2.5 pipe then to the flowmaster. To connect the turn down tip, I cut about 6 inches of 2.5 pipe so it would slip into the flowmaster and the tip.

All connecting pieces were welded using my cousin's Lincoln mig welder. It was my first time welding, so it's not the best. However, no leaks and some black spray paint cleaned it up real good haha.

New issue was finding a way to make the exhaust sturdy as the only usable hanger was right by the flange. The exhaust didn't have a lot of play, but just to make sure, I wrapped exhaust wire, or whatever it's called, around the flowmaster and to the frame. No play and no banging against anything so it held up great so far.

Here's what I bought off of amazon and what it all looks like. It wont let me upload the video of it, so here's some crappy screenshots for now.

Total price was roughly 100 bucks. I guess the price on the exhaust tip changed because I know I spent around 10-15

I had a 40 series on my 3rd gen - it was a solid setup. Loud, and definitely had drone at certain rpms, but sounded great. Bet yours sounds nicer with the V8!

yeah it definitely drones a lot around 60. but it’s well worth opening up the V8

Man I love those rims in the third post I think I want to get black for mine too!

What did you end up doing with those old Springs? The red ones I just bought mine today actually black but I got all red bushings coming to so the Red Springs would really make it pop... those tires rub at all? I was looking for the biggest I could get that wouldn't rub but I'm only going up 3 in....
