What did you end up doing with those old Springs? I was looking for the biggest I could get that wouldn't rub but I'm only going up 3 in....
Thanks! I have the old springs laying around. The bilsteins are blown and aren't rebuildable, from my understanding, so it's not worth selling. I'm just keeping them for spares if I ever have to get the Kings rebuilt. 3 inches of lift should be plenty for 285s depending on your wheel setup. Mine didn't rub that much with the 17x9/-12 rims, until I put on the 1.25" spacer. But a body mount chop, trimming the fender liner, and removing the mudflaps got rid of all rubbing.

Ocotillo // Anza-Borrego Trip 2019

Went out for the weekend to Ocotillo with some homies. We usually hang out north of the 78 but ended up checking out the south side too. Beautiful sights in between the sandstone canyons. Two LT Tundras, Tundra on 35s, TRD tacoma and my 4th gen. Here's a couple pics.

Ocotillo // Anza-Borrego Trip #2 2019

Took another trip to the desert this past weekend. Met up with some cool 4Runner guys from LA area. Checked out Calcite Mines then made our way through Ocotillo to Sandstone Canyon. Gate keeper was a little sketchy since I don't have sliders or any armor. Super fun trip with a mix of fast paced and crawling action.

Also put my oem "bullbar" back on because without it there's like 4 bolts that hold the bumper on and they're all on the bottom.

Subwoofer install

Also put in a RF 250 mono amp and a Kicker Comp 10 inch sub in the truck. Connected the amp to the factory subwoofer wires through the high level input since I have a stock radio. Well worth the money and it bumps way better than expected for a basic amp. Write up coming soon.

As promised, I made a short thread on how to connect an amp to a stock jbl system. I definitely need to take more pictures next install, but it was done in the rain at midnight ish. Here's a link Amp/Sub with stock jbl radio

Front and Rear Dif Fluid Change

No real pics because it's just basic maintenance. But probably the first time the front and rear dif fluid has been changed @ almost 220k miles. Front wasn't too bad, but the rear was pretty dark/dirty. Better now then never lol. Used Mobil 1 75w-90 full synthetic. 12 bucks a quart from autozone. Only tough part was cracking the hex bolts on the front dif. Other than that, pretty quick n easy job

New TC LCA

Finally got my hands on some Total Chaos LCAs. Pretty stoked on getting rid of the crappy balljoints and being able to run a secondary later on. Install was easy besides lining up the cradle to spindle bolts, so shoutout TC for making everything fit perfect. The ride feels a lot better too. Polyurethane bushings and the uniball make a solid difference.

Extended Rear Links

I couldn't justify spending $150 on dobinsons adjustable end links, or take the time to build my own, so I found these moog end links . They're an inch longer than oem and fit perfect. I haven't felt much of a difference driving, but with 2.5 inches of lift in the rear I figured i should extend them.

MT rear LT springs

I'm more into the fast paced open desert type of stuff, so eventually I'd like to go LT in the rear. I picked up these MT LT springs medium duty along with Califab lower links and the extended brake lines. I'm still waiting on the links to show up. The plan is to strap the rear for now so I don't rip the shock shafts out their bodies. Eventually I want to have some 12" triple bypasses thrown in. LTDSC is the main source of inspiration right now for the rear, so shoutout him and a few others for their build threads. Hopefully by the end of the year I'll find some shocks for sale, used or new. Current shocks are the icon 2.5 w adjusters.

Wheel bearing assembly

So I was randomly blessed with a worn wheel bearing the other night. Sounded like the driver side wheel was playing wheel of fortune lol. Anyways, 147 bucks at autozone and an hour later it's all fixed and rides better. It was surprisingly a quick install. I'll do the passenger side eventually.

Exterior Update

I got bored and tired of the plasti dip so I painted my wheels with rustoleum. added 1.5 in wheel spacers in the front and moved the 1.25 in spacers to the rear. Sold the BD lights. Also got the under headlight trim and painted it to match.

Roof Rack

Got a deal on a roof rack and some steel it paint recently. Super easy install and perfect fit which was tight since it's not a name brand or whatever. Quality is solid too. I have scene lights for the sides (2 per side) but no harness yet so I'm waiting to put those on.
