Can Or Can Not With XREAS

Here's the deal. 2003 Limited V8 4WD.
The RAS crapped out not long ago. Had a mechanic look at it and he replaced the RAS with coils. NOW I'm sitting 22.5" in the rear from center of hub to lip edge but 18.5" front. Don't need a lift in the rear but 3" in the front. (I don't mind a little rake) I have some front spacers but when I got to reading, I read it can't be done, it can be done, it's best not to do it........so my question is......

CAN THE FRONT SHOCKS/STRUTS BE DISCONNECTED FROM XREAS WITHOUT HARM TO THE SYSTEM? IF SO, HOW DO I GO ABOUT DOING IT?

Maybe. Ish.

Check this thread if you haven't already: Where to disconnect XREAS?

Personally, I'd go with something like Bilstein 5100s or 6112s/5160s. That's what I did (6112/5160) and it is night and day.
