Swapping Sport seats into an SR5 - is this possible??? PLEASE ADVISE.

Hey everybody!

Like the title says, is it possible to gut a 4th gen Sport interior and simply plug it into my SR5?

Since the SR5 has the electric lumbar support, is the wiring harness situation already sorted out? Will I be able to simply “plug-and-play” the fully motorized Sport seats into the existing harness, or will I have to get fancy with the wiring?

Will I have to be careful with airbags?

Anyone tried this, or know of anyone who has?

Thanks for your help!

I have a 2005 Sport... sounds like my seat is same as yours. Manual with electric lumbar.

Oh weird; since I was only concentrating on post facelift 4th gens (2006-on, with the 5-speed trans), I didn't realize the earlier Sports had manual seats. Learn something new everyday...

So yeah, I amend my earlier question: Is it possible to adapt fully electric seats from the later 4th gen (Sport OR Limited, for that matter) into an SR5?

If you have a 06-09, buy seats from the 06-09 years.

If you have a 03-05, buy seats from these years.

Theres some wiring differences between the 2... otherwise you could be fine to bolt up and plug in whatever you want.

Do you have any details on the wiring differences? I just bought 04s for my 07 and want to make it work. I was told only the front passenger seat needs modification

If you're getting the seats from a scrap yard (these vehicles are hard to find in a scrap yard), then I would suggest just clipping the entire plug so you can splice it in if needed. Otherwise it should be bolt on.
