Looking for UCA for my 05 v8, what upper control arms are you running im ideally looking for ball-joint type UCA, any suggestions, ive been looking at JBA,SPC, CAMBURG, or Wulf UCA.

also any suggestions on engine splash guards

JBA Here. Very Solid. Running TRD Pro Wheels with 275-70 KO2's. No Spacers. Tire not close to UCA's

JBA here as well. No issues, no complaints, nice part, well made, bolt in upper ball joint (JBA's in house ball joint is working fine for me, but readily available, bolt-on, off the shelf Moog parts can be used also which is a nice fall back/piece of mind).

I like my SPCs. They seem to have less issue with running low offset wheels than JBA from what I have seen online.

SPC’s, adjustability is awesome. You are correct about the negative offset wheels. I’m running 17x9 -38 with no rubbing. I do have the arms set to the lowest caster setting to make it happen. I’ve had them about three or four years and no complaints.

I've got the JBA STD arms. Just over 30k miles and no issue with a good alignment. Do keep in mind I have a 3 inch lift, with 1.25 spaces on stock rims and 275/70 R17 KO2s.

I’m running JBA’s as well, so far so good.

I got some Total Chaos installed not long ago, definitely improved my drivability/wandering sensation I had. They are very nice/quality built.

sorry for hijacking a thread. I have a 2.5" lift and just did alignment and they set it at -0.2 camber. Seems to me that it is pretty decent. Will aftermarket Upper control arms benefit me in anyway? I just dont want to go spend extra money.

UCA’s are to give you additional caster and help fix the floating feeling in your steering after a lift. They also give your suspension more travel/droop. It’s up to you to prioritize if you need them or not, or spend the money on something else.

Total Chaos UCA's. So far so good...sometimes I get a little squeaking, but then I spray them with some dry lube and the squeak is gone.

JBA standards. Better than uniball for rust prone areas.

No complaints and design is beefy

I have SPC's, but I think I would have gone with non- adjustable if I was to do it again. It requires a special alignment and not every shop can do it, and I'm not sure the adjustability is worth it vs. one that's set up already!

I am NOT disappointed with the price or performance though, so if you want cheap and adjustable, go with SPC for sure.

I have the SPC's. My LCA bolts are seized solid, and I didn't feel like sawing them out, so since I needed new UCA's after my lift anyway, I went with the adjustable SPC's. I've been very happy. They've been on now for 50,000 miles and haven't budged or given any trouble. I grease them every other oil change, and check the torque at the same time. Around the time I put them on (late 2016), SPC raised the torque spec on the main adjustment bolt from ~120 ft-lbs to 150 ft-lbs. Apparently there were some problems with them working loose at the lower torque, but the increased spec seems to have fixed that. Mine have never loosened.

I do my own alignments (it's really pretty easy if you pay attention to details), so the extra complexity wasn't a problem. I set the caster on the high side to around 4 degrees and the truck drives like a dream. My KO2's have been on for 50,000 miles, still have 7/32 tread left, and are wearing perfectly evenly, so the alignment is working just fine.
