How catastrophic is it that I found this in the Front Diff. Fluid?

Looks like a helicoil to me but makes you wonder how that chunk got in - must have been retapped twice or improperly. Not saying to worry at all but may be worth another swap to make sure its cleaned out. What plug is in there now?
