Did you ever remedy this? Is Sherpa sturdier?

Pros:
-Superlight
-Match the roof line for a slick, low profile look.
-Cut out for light bar on fairing
-Relatively quiet on the highway.
Cons:
-Flex in all directions when you go off-roading. The side bar are just flat aluminum bar and that thing wiggles on those washboard dirt roads like it is not permitted.
-Similar issues with the extrusions / crossbars. Flex too much up/down, maybe induced from the aluminum side plates.
-Noisy when off-roading because everything wiggles, especially if you use Quickfist attachments to hold a shovel or else.
My take:
IMHO, 2 attachment points should be added to the roof. I know, drilling your beloved rig's roof and adding hardware is nerve racking but this Victory rack with only 4 attachment points is not a good setup regardless how solid the 4 steel brackets are. The 4th Gen 4runner has only 4 attachment points and I am thinking of adding 2 more brackets bolted to the roof or replace the rack with a regular bulkier and noisier tubular basket as I don't trust this one in the long term with all the shakiness on the trails.
