First up, the H9 conversion. For those that don't know, the basic Philips German H9 bulbs put out about 2100 lumens @ 65W, about twice that of the stock H11 @ 55W. 5 minutes of my time, a razorblade, and a side cutters and these bad boys went in.
One the metal tab is trimmed on the socket, the plastic peninsula gets cut out. Trimmed H9 on the left, H9 out of the package on the right.
Again, H11 on the left, and H9 on the right!
Pictures don't do this $12 upgrade justice. Brighter, and whiter.

Next up, the AFE Magnum Pro Dry S filter and HCF delete. Picked up this guy on lameazon for about $50. Very impressed with the weight and build of this filter, it's heaaaaavy!
Old filter: eesh.
Get this guy outta there...
And a comparison!
Test drive after this definitely produces a noticeable throttle pickup, less acceleration lag! Happy camper here.

Next up, AIP Bypass from the one and only
@ slyfox75
. Easy to install, and peace at mind knowing that I'm in the green from now on.
Fuse box:
MAF splice:
All buttoned up:
And a side note, I got my Salex OCD organized for the console to cover the black hole under the armrest. Very pleased!

Next, switch out and retorque all the lugs. After removing the front passenger wheel to replace the center cap last weekend, I found out I had about 4 turns on the acorns. Not good!
Bought some extended Gorillas and replaced 'em all. Now i' m at 9 turns to snug. Muuuuch nicer!

Lastly for now, an overdue power steering flush! The previous fluid was likely PS fluid, which is not reccomended. In went Valvoline Maxlife Synth ATF!
Before:
Parts washer mid-clean:
Install, cycle the fluid until the whole system is clean by turning the wheels when off the ground, and... Voila.
Stay tuned for more...

Couple hundred miles already on the AventuRunner. Hit 212k!
Checked the plugs, mostly for reference. Looks like they are doing fine, gap is still at 0.040. I'll probaly replace them with Denso next year sometime...

Decided to paint the scrappy looking faded scoop.
First step, removal. 5 bolts, one hidden philips screw under the insulation, and it's off.
Hit it with some 400...
And out comes the trusty satin black.
Notice how glossy it looked? I got freaked out and nearly topcoated with flat black!
But, I gave it a night to degloss, and it went down to satin overnight. Whew.
Much better! I'll probably repaint the peeling grille next, torn whether I want to keep it silver or not!

Couple goodies came in the mall today!
Big shout out to Icon for warranty replacing my rusted delta joints. They were very easy to work with and great customer service across the board.
New deltas:
Install hopefully in the next couple weeks!

So as I have been driving around, I started to notice the LCD screen dimly lit. So, I ordered in a 90010-09017 bulb, replaced the one I thought was out, and replacing it, I realized, indeed, not one, but both were out. Guess I should'a bought two! At least the time is lit until I get the next bulb in

Over the weekend I spent a few hours doing a lil' thang I like to call... a frame manicure. Since this is my 3rd runner (and the one with the least amount of starting rust), I made my point to keep the frame juicy. So, out comes the wire wheel and the facemask!

1. After wire wheeling everything I could get the bristles on, out came the air nozzle to blow off the dust, flakes, etc.
2. Next up, a little bit of degreaser to clean the surface from oils/grime.
3. Third, Rustoleum Rust Reformer- Used 2 cans to get all the rusted areas. Turns the corrosion into a paintable surface. For the price, it does well!
4. Lastly, a topcoat of Flat black enamel.
Finished product (for now):
*edit, the shop kittens were watching intently the entire time.
