Air Leak Up Front
There is sound coming from the front right, not too loud, but definitely noticeable. A shop looked at it and the dx was "cracked Y pipe". The number they quoted was $1100...not chump change. I think the part is pricey.
Can a shop that does welding fix this if not too bad? The dealer CSR suggested that to me at the last O/C and roto...
Any insight would be much appreciated, as always.

Y-Pipe as in exhaust? Doug Thorley or URD's y-pipes are around $500.
But yeah any welder should be able to patch it easily.
Any pics? I want to see what a cracked Y pipe looks like!

Thanks, me, too...but I think they dropped the belly pan and then used a mirror to ge a look at it. A part number would be useful, but then I'm not sure about that. The installer for the suspension parts installed last Spring may have someone, they were really good (and they're chomping at the bit to beef up the suspension...LOL).

Mangaflow has some direct fit y-pipe pieces if you want to keep the rear cats. You can even order them on Amazon.

Depending on how badly cracked or what type of patch job is needed… would it be possible to have an exhaust / muffler shop weld the seam and a quick fix? I suspect this would be pretty inexpensive.

Well, I've been limping along with this, however, some heavy snow on the roads over the weekend must have increased the damage, causing a little more noise, which I hate.
Anyway, found a shop that says they can source a "Walker" aftermarket Y pipe, which does include one integral cat, and install for about 850...of course, when they start breaking things down, could have some other rust-damaged components in bad shape...we'll see.
