06+ Headlight swap

Have a set of 06+ headlights that im planning to swap into my 05. Now i did read the guide on here, but since im not good at wiring if its possible to do the swap without any?

Can i just buy a 9006-H11 adapter and install LED lights into the projector? I was thinking of keeping the same trim piece as i dont mind the little spacing between the light and the grill. I do believe my DRL are on the bumper only.

Yes, if you'd like to retain your factory signal/DRL there is no wiring needed other than that adapter. You will still need the new turn signal/running light pigtail connector tho to prevent water getting into the new headlight (regardless of if you want to do the wiring to make those lights active)

I have an 05 and I'm trying to do the 06 conversion, could you post a parts list of what you used to convert it over?? I found the 9006 to H11 but what did you use to change over the DRL ?

You'll need some LED bulbs and just splice into the DRL wire. Check out the guide on here for the full parts list. He goes into enough detail to follow along.

Who and where is the thread? I have looked all over for a decent write up of how to splice wires for turn signal. Can’t find anything helpful

Is there a list of adapters and bulbs needed for this project?

Hey Everyone, just updating since i got replies on this post. The swap was really simple, i didnt end up splicing any wires to retain the 06 DRL on the turn signals. I had to purchase the bumper trim piece which was on rock auto around $30 ? got a 9006/9005 to H11/H8 retrofit wiring harness for LED and put some LED bulbs. If you dont splice your Turn signals on the lights will be exposed to water. I used tape to cover but to get the actuall harness its Toyota Part # 8112535440 thats for right side, so check for the left
