OEM NAV conversion install issues
Ok so here's the deal. I have 2 4runners, a 06 v8 w/o nav and a 08 v6 with nav. I have a complete nav system from a 07 ( radio, Mic, Bluetooth buttons, camera, camera wiring for the gate, misc radio plugs off the back of the nav radio etc) that i never installed in the 06. The wife loves the 06 but wants the nav system in the 08 so now HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE is in play.
I did find different posts to make this work but they are all over the place
Here are the questions:
1 - The gate camera harness that plugs in somewhere in the quarter panel. With tghat harness installed will that allow the camera to work without splicing into the harness.
2- where on the radio plug to the amp do i need to go to make the voice work.
3- if i got the rest of the OEM harnesses for the voice and camera would that eliminate all the splicing?
4- where do i splice the vss off the oem non nav harness into the vehicle.
5- is there really a big radio plug for the nav behind the cluster as i have read or is that b.s.
BTW a new non oem radio is out of the question. I blew my budget for the next few months on new wheels and tires for the '08 besides i already already had this setup.
