Where to Route Backup Camera to Rear Tire Carrier/Bumper

Apologies if this has been covered but I could not find directions anywhere.

I am getting my Coastal Offroad rear bumper & dual swing out installed in a few weeks and I am preparing my backup camera for install.
I plan on installing the camera on the Jerry can bracket. Either on the bottom of it or off the side of it (center of vehicle.)

My question is what is the best way to route the camera for this method.
My gut is telling me to come out of the head unit, down the driver's side door panel. Then at the rear of the vehicle dropping out on the bottom and routing along the swing out arm.

I am just unsure of where the best place to get from inside the vehicle to the outside. Is there an existing location/grommet I can come out of? I don't want to create any new holes if possible.
Let me know if you have any ideas or links to where it's been done before.

Thank you!

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for but I mounted mine inside the car on the roof, directly to the rear of the dome light so that it's looking out the rear windshield. I have 5% tint on the rear windshield and can see out the camera during the day but at night I have to open the window about 6 inches. Just used some random short (probably about 1/8 inch)screws I had laying around to go through the foam in the roof liner. I am however still troubleshooting the camera. The camera I got is a cheapo ($17) and only works when its cool outside and inside the car. But as far as mounting and wiring, just remove whichever rear side panel you're coming from, theres a ground in the back for the speakers and brake lights and a few options for power source

I know it’s not quite what you are looking for, but I ran mine down the drivers side to the rear of the vehicle, then up the rear pillar and fished it through to the lift gate and mounted mine on the bottom of my spoiler. I have a nice view behind me and it’s angled so I can see my trailer ball when it’s installed also.

Mine is ran to the stock license plate mount then positioned to the far left to shoot between the two swing outs.
