I returned the seat cover via Amazon returns, got the refund in full. No issues.
The person I was communicating with at Alaska acknowledged the issue of the smelly rough backing on the Aegis seat cover I got, after seeing the detailed photos I sent. Apparently Aegis makes a few different models with genuine sheepskin seating surfaces, but different backings.
Not sure I can find it but I would much prefer just the sheepskin contacting my upholstery, no backing, even if it means that the strap stitching is bulky and somwhat visible at the edges of the leather. I also would think that any genuine sheepskin covers we find that are high quality with excellent reviews are going to be >$100 so per seat & up. Compare with the prices of good Uggs sheepskin booties...
