I've searched Google and this forum as best as I can and didn't come up with anything. So I figured I'd ask and if I don't find anything then it will become a how-to while I do it lol.
I have the Baja Designs Squadron fog light kit in my 5th gen that I'm selling, so I want these in my 4th gen. These are
amazing lights and for < $300 seem like the best 4th gen fog upgrade there is. This being for an 06+ 4th gen, I'm not sure how the older ones would work.
This being the kit I'm talking about
:
Toyota | Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner | Squadron Sport Amber WC | Baja Designs
Has anyone done this swap before? I'm wondering if the factory harness in 5th gens is the same as the 4th gen so that it will work with the factory switch. If not then a BD harness and separate switch is easy enough. Then comes mounting. I'm assuming the conversion mounts in the kit won't work, but maybe they'll be close enough to make work? Lastly it's gonna leave a gap since the factory fog is larger in the 4th gen. So I'm thinking a sheet of plastic cut to fill that in.
