Sh*t quality. don't do it to yourself. Just bake your oem ones apart and paint. Any ebay sets I have used either leak or the inner plastic melts and the lens cracks

I wish a reputable company would make some of these.

trust me if you have like 2-3 hours to spare on a weekend you can easily do it. set the oven on 200 and bake the headlight for like 7 min. you should then be able to separate the lens yourself. (remove rear screws beforehand) and then paint them black and do the reverse. also a good idea to run a bead of silicone around before baking them again

Thanks for the motivation. I have a 2004 so they aren't projectors, however, I'm looking into possibly doing what you said and adding some.

i wouldnt waste any money on aftermarket assemblies, if it your first time at retrofitting, i would get the cheapest headlights to practice on, then when your ready to go all out, use new oem headlights or use your own if its n good shape.
new oem headlights are roughly 450-475 out the door, "partznet" i think do sales and give a 10% off codes for thursdays and friday use.

I cooked a set apart...they ended fogging up the inside lens.
Had a set of VIAP...would get moisture inside every time it rained or you washed the T4R.

Last set was/is DEPO.
Been on the Depo for a number of years, no leaks no fog-up, works good.
My 2cents.

Don't buy eagle eyes brand. I ordered DEPO (best aftermarket lamp IMO) and was sent eagle eyes instead... instead of waiting for the right thing I just used them. Blacked them out and added halos, etc. They started to fog up and the plastic around the edges started to peel in just 6 months. Had to wetsand and buff/polish/wax to get them clear again.

Go with DEPO or OEM only.

I’ve had an aftermarket set of ‘06 projector style with the flat black reflectors that I bought off Amazon. Can’t remember the brand, but they have given me huge headaches with condensation and I’ve resealed them a few times, coated every bulb seal with Teflon based o-ring lube, etc. They've been good the past few months (knock on wood), but now it looks like a clear coat on the inside of the lens is peeling at the top. I love the black background and wish there was a true OEM version of them or at least the same quality without dropping $500, then having to bake OEMs apart to get the black background. I may try the Depo brand next time based on favorable reviews on here. I’m not interested in doing a full retrofit since I have the LED lows that Formidable posted about awhile back and love them. They may not be quite the same as a real retrofit, but they solved my night driving woes, and were very cheap for the difference in output they provided.
