Can you confirm which is which though? Magnaflows site is showing 49696 for the passenger side.

Summit's site confirms this as fitment for the 03 v8, but 49697 appears to be the driver's side, but lists that it doesn't fit the 03, same thing with 49698....wondering what the differences are.

Guess I'll just have to reach out to Magnalow.

...98 is for the passenger side and ...97 is driver side.

I think the earlier 4runners didn’t have the exact same y-pipe. They might have the catalytic converters after the pipes merge. From my understanding, you could replace both sides for any model, but the halves would have to be specific to your OE configuration.

Word of warning, the driver side on mine was back ordered and then wasn’t a direct fit as it should have been. It had to be cut and rewelded to fit.
