Right rear squeak- sometimes

After reading tons of threads, I made the commitment to purchase a new wheel hub bearing assembly and all the associated parts needed for the axle shaft. I found a shop that would press everything off/on if they were allowed to pull the axle and do everything themselves. I agreed to this and brought it in only to be told my squeak was coming from the brake shield touching "something."

The shield was bend outward and I was charge 1 hr labor at $95. ugh.
After leaving, it continued to make the sound but only intermittently but under the same conditions as before (left hand turns only.) I brought it back this morning and of course, not a peep from the right rear! wtf!

So, im thinking im scewed out of $150 worth of parts that i bought bc ill loose money trying to return perfectly good parts.

any ideas on what else to check back there? again, its a squeak squeak squeak noise in the right-rear, only on left turns, changes with vehicle speed, does not go away with brake application, and is now intermitant.

Have you checked the tension on the spare tire cable? Could also be bushings on your rear arms and/ or your rear sway bar bushings and links.

It's possible that it could be something loose in the parking brakes, so after exhausting all other possibilities you may want to check that.

ill do that. they need to be adjusted anyway. i forgot though, which way are the e-brake adjusters turned? i know they're opposite from each other but cant remember which side turns which way?

i have the dreaded Brake/Vsc/Slip lights on (no ABS light.) unfortunately, new gas cap, new brake switch, ecu reset, and ZPC have not worked. maybe the e-brake adjustment will help as i was in there screwing around when i replaced the regular brake pads.
