The deeper I wonder into the suspension performance world the more I understand that I know nothing lol
I have noticed that there are a lot of brands available around but I am concerned that a big percentage of their products are design for off road that is different from mine. You cant really try and return if you dont like it so the research has to be thorough.
After I bought billies 5100 front (3rd notch + 5th gen coils so 2" lift) and 5100 rear with 1.5" spacer I got the height I liked but I hate the ride. Now I am thinking of adding bumper so its a good reason to change the suspension set up.
So I was hoping that there are 2 questions you guys can help me understand:
1) Progressive / Linear / Digressive whats the difference between them in simple terms? And which type would work better for BC, Canada? We have a ton of washboard service roads here, big potholes, small loose rocks and long uphills. I tend to drive slower and hence dont need suspension that is designed for dessert style driving or rock crawling. From my understanding I should go with linear setup? Progressive is more for a high speed driving and 5100 are digressive and I dont like them. Or is that hard ride related to rear spacer and front 3rd notch?
2) What would you recommend? Change coils or change the whole thing while I am there?
Any advice appreciated, hope the post is not too long loi.
