Question is in regards to Icon SKU : 58645.
Per their website descriptions 0-3.5” of lift. Can it achieve 3.5” and still ride comfortably?
What’s the price for this set?
Thanks

The more you pre-load the coil, the more firm the ride will become.
For Daily Driver, this will not be too bad. For off-road, the ride be be more rough.
ICON does recommend max lift for off-road at 2.75"

What's the "Cost of Ownership" on the ICON suspension setups?! I wonder how often folks with any of these kits need to rebuild/re-seal the kits...roughly, how many miles should be allotted for this suspension system? Every 15k miles, every 30k miles?! What do the rebuild costs involve and what do they cost for material only? This is surely something to consider when "upgrading" the stock setup...

This is a good question.
The Industry Standard for Off-Road Suspension is roughly 35-40K miles. Depending on
Daily Driver use vs Off-Road, you may get a lot more miles or a little less.
ICON Suspension rebuilds are currently handled by Authorized Shops.
Prices may vary from location to location, but this a great question for your closest
Authorized Shop.
The great thing about rebuildable / serviceable Coilovers and Shocks, is that you can
make the investment, then save over time instead of purchasing new struts and shocks
everytime.
These are all great things to consider when investing in a Off-Road Suspension System.

Thanks for the reply...the ICON suspension system has been amazing on my 4runner but I was told by a reputable dealer (from what I've been hearing and reading reviews on) that ICON systems need to be rebuilt about every 15k miles unless you get full stroke on your setups every once in awhile...I have 45k on my setup and I have some incredible audible squeaking...my 4runner is a very capable mall-cruiser so full stroke suspension articulation never happens (wife's rig) but surely could if needed. That being said, it will cost me about $700 for the rebuild of the front resi-coilovers...it's about $50-70 per rebuild kit (seals/o-rings) each, plus the ICON fluid required to be refilled (about 2.5 gallons assuming a little waste) and a nitrogen refill...plus a front alignment...nonetheless, I was almost angry finding out this cost of ownership but having to just swap in a new kit or a less-expensive kit seems unreasonable but the interval they may last might be worth the less ride quality...I refuse to move backwards when we all just look forward (or should)...so I am having them rebuilt and hope they last longer than what I've put on them thus far...just my $.02 as this was certainly something I never considered asking assuming they would last longer than the OTC products we can have at fractions of the cost...I suppose it's kind of like Harbor Freight tools...you can buy x10 tools from HF and some might break but you could spend x10 more money on a "good" quality tool and it can break too...it's all just perspective...

I noticed Icon Dynamics does not have a readily available long travel suspension. Unless Icon is contacted directly (which up to now I have not gotten a reply) would they make long travel suspension only when ordered?
I'm currently running stage 7 (almost). I say almost because I have the tubular UCAs (no delta joints). Everything else is comprised of a stage 7 kit.
Plus, what long travel kit is compatible with Icon. I see Most if not all are for Fox and King.
My inquiry could not be any more serious (with a grain of salt). I'm interested in getting a +2" long travel kit that I can still use most of my Icon set up. Total Chaos is what I am looking at unless I'm missing something.
Any advice you could share considering you guys sell pretty much everything not just Icon. It would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely a great question.
Typically, Long Travel Kits require custom/spec length coilovers and shocks.
Dirt King is a great option for OEM Coilovers, but will limit the amount of travel.
To achieve the true benefit of Long Travel, like with the Total Chaos +2" Kit, you
will need to order spec coilovers from ICON to match.

I had sent an email to Icon. I never received a reply. I made my inquiry as easy as possible for them. I provided a list of what I currently had installed on my 4th gen, what parts I have in prep for a long travel set up (McNeil fenders, bump stops, extra long front SS brake lines, etc, and my specific plans for a +2" kit.
I will give a second attempt to contact them.

Did you let them know you were looking at the Total Chaos LT Kit?
Total Chaos will be able to help with the Extended Length and Collapsed Length needed for their kit.
