Help! Heater / ac blower went out -stuck in snowshoe

I'm in snowshoe right now and we are expecting 12-18" of snow. The good news is the 4Runner is handling the snow like a champ, I can't say enough about these Duratracs. I'll try and post some pics later

The problem is, my blower went out! This has happened before, and I want to say it was when the temps were well above freezing. Eventually it randomly started working.

I know there is a TSB out for something similar to this, but tht doesn't help me now. I need defrost badly to get off the mountain. Is there anything I can do to get it working temporarily?

Here is my thread with the link to the TSB that I think may be your current problem.

AC002-07 HVAC Blower Motor Ice Build-Up

The only thing that comes to mind for a temporary fix is to heat up the blower motor unit (maybe with a hair dryer) to thaw the ice that may have built up. You should be able to access the unit via the glove box.

For anyone finding this in the future (this is currently happening to me every time I park outside below 10F, especially when snowing). Right now I have my glove box removed, and I just pop out the air filter and manually free the blower fan by sliding my hand in and moving the interior of the blower back and forth (I can feel the ice 'break loose'). DO NOT DO THIS WHEN HVAC IS ON lol. I make sure HVAC is "off" and just break it loose before driving. Takes < 20 seconds, nice and easy until I get it fixed.
