If they are not a distributor for Jtekt, it is HIGHLY likely that they are selling you fake parts since there would be no way they could acquire legit JTEKT part numbers at dealer cost.

I did see that a factory wheel bearing assembly from Toyotaparts deal is only 147.25 now. That is super cheap for a non-fake part that will probably last 25 years.

Sorry to disagree with you on this one. I bought a set from them. They went bad in less than a year. I tried to get in touch with him every way possible. Crickets. They may have been good as I used them based on recommendations in this forum, but they are Horrible Now.

That's what I heard before I went with the Dorman/KOYO unit on ebay. I got it in 4 days, has a 12 month warranty, and is a fair price. Just my two cents...

I had my local Napa look up the bearings and they had Koyo and they were about $78 each. Are you saying that Napa is selling fake Chinese versions because of that low price? I’m genuinely curious about this because I’ve read a lot about fake Denso spark plugs and other stuff being sold by parts stores, Amazon, etc.

My plan is to buy new bearings and seals, but rebuild mine for 2 reasons. One being that I’ve rebuilt assemblies like this many times in the past and have a press and all the adapters. The second is that I need longer studs for my Fuel wheels, so it would be easy to swap those while everything is apart.

Yeah man, honestly they are great quality, i have not had an issue since install, i had heard stories before of the owner not communicating back with the customer, or him being hard to get a hold of, and had a hard time deciding to use him or not, but i bit the bullet and had not had any issues since. Communication was 100% on point.

Well, since we are on the subject. The Chinese fake bearings all say "Koyo" and "Japan" on them. The picture of that bearing in that post is actually fake. Koyo has not manufactured the LFT or "Low Friction Torque" V1 bearing for a decade. They are currently at LFT4. I find it interesting that someone is selling bearings manufactured 10 years ago in Japan online... Or are they simply buying them from these chinese people who make them for export to unsuspecting people who don't know any better. Notice the hair on top of the bearing in the picture...that just screams quality to me.

If you would like more information, please visit the actual JTEKT site and attempt to find the part number of the ebay "koyo" bearing as a current part. FYI - here is some interesting literature about the Koyo hub bearings:
