I got the ebay LCA and i use my 4Runner for more off roading then the average person on here i bet. I take it to trails at least 2x a week. And these are serious trails. I had no complaints at all.

Only issue installing these on my 4Runner was that one of the cam bolts was seized so i had to cut it off.
good perspective right there

Both my lower ball joints are leaking. Might pick these up soon.

I say keep the OEM hardware and get the urethane insert kits. The stock rubber bushings simply can't handle off roading and just rip apart. The good thing is that if you do urethane, you will never have to worry about breaking the bushings or noisy suspension. The uni-ball UCA's and LCA's all make a ton of noise, especially the heim joint versions. If you wan't your truck to sound like the Titanic hitting every rock ever conceived by humanity, ebay has lots of awesome chinese parts available.

Where do I get these urethane inserts? I wanted to change the whole LCA becuase I heard the ball joint is a paint to remove.

Also, with regards to the lower ball joint. Is it truly a pain to remove? Ball joint removers are cheap and easy to use, it might take you 30 minutes to do both of them with the right tool.

AM? Also, how are they holding up these days? Bushings still in tact?

got new OEM LCA's and new hardware, used 20k mile UCA's

I still have my first car since 96, so I know when I'll be keeping something and want to get another 300,000 miles out of this 4R. Got OEM LCA's for right at $600 for the pair, and picked up used 2017 UCA's for $100. Hardware for lower and upper was right at $175. Hopefully I can find some TP to trade a tech for an alignment like I did for an O2 sensor install Wednesday...haha. Anyone want to buy my old LCA's???
