Front Springs for V8 650lb or 700lb?
What kind of experience with each with the V8. With or without aftermarket front Bumper

I have a V6 and aftermarket plate bumper, icon coilovers 650# springs ride great. My understanding, even with the V8, you should only run the 700# if you have lots of armor. Say plate bumper, winch and skids. Maybe the V8 guys will shut me up lol.

I've got a set of Elka 2.5's with a 650# 14" spring. Feels perfect and gave me all the height I needed.
When I add a bumper and or winch I'll beef up to 700#

Springs
I have run both springs in mine. I was planning to get an aftermarket front bumper with winch. I have the V8 with a full skid package. Even without the front bumper and winch, I thought they were a little too stiff. So basically unless you have a lot of weight like others have said I would stick with the 650lb.

I have 600# springs on my Fox ISP's, front bumper, no skid (yet), and no winch. About perfect now, and expect a little sag with the skid install in the next week or so. To cover yourself, i'd go with 650lb'ers. V8 all the way!

I had 650 when they shipped mine and I had to preload a ton to get the height. They swapped them to 700 and much better.
03 v8 with ARB bumper and winch. I now have full skids and rtt too.

I have 700 pound springs and no regrets, rides like a cloud. That said, I have never had the sway bar on with these springs. If I put it on with the preload that I have I'm sure it would be a little different.

V6, Full steel armor/skids/sliders/front bumper/winch. 5200lbs SR5 T4R.
Had the front 660lbs fjc moog coils.
Fine on the street, would slam to the bumpstops offroad.
Loving the new Elka's with 700lbs.
More stable, less nose dive, no slam to the bumps.
No front sway bar.
