Any update? did they warranty it? any pics of the failure? Would you buy supepro's again or no?

Still waiting on the warranty replacement.

When I contacted them in September, I was told that they were on a boat with delivery expected mid-November. They could get me bushings sooner, but I wanted complete LCA's. I'll update once I know more.

I'd buy them again, they perform great and the bushing style makes it super easy to swap shocks without messing with your alignment (I swap cheap shocks on for salt season).

Makes sense, it sucks to have to wait, but that seems to still be a common issue with so many companies right now.

Interesting idea about swapping shocks for salt season. I’m in the salt belt here in Hudson Valley, NY and I hadn’t thought of doing that.

I’ve been nervous how the poly bushings would hold up to the salt, I know they advertise one and done with the greasing, but can’t help but think the salt will work it’s way in and create some maintenance before too long. I don’t like squeaking.

Good info. Nice to see them follow through on the warranty. Hard miles or not, for the price of these, I'd expect way more than 40k miles and it seems that they agree with their response. I've got 235k on my OEMs and they're still chugging along.

My offset pair just arrived yesterday so ill be installing soon. Im excited to get some alignment options back to get off my bodu mount and back off the current caster setting in the SPC UCA BJ (going back to neutral as they add to the clearance problem). I've got at least 1 seized cam bolt ( likely 2) that will have to cut out so prepping for that.

No special greasing or anything when installing the SuperPros?

I recently bought and installed some new Superpro control arms. They are awesome and the tightness in the suspension is great. However they squeaked and I had to apply more lube to the bushings. I didnt remove the bushing, no more squeaking, just slid the metal sleeves out and between washers. They have been great and the superpro cam bolt it comes with is awesome, way better design than stock or spc cam bolts.

Trivia: I called Superpro usa office (about the squeek), they and Whiteline are the same company on the automated phone greeting. "Thanks for calling Superpro Whiteline" When I asked whats up, they said they are targeting supepro to the off-road crowd, and whiteline to on-road vehicles. I then asked if there is any difference between whiteline and superpro the bushings for a 4runner, he said "they are the same durometer". ZEDER Corporation – Suspension Leader

I’ve deliberated here for quite a while on the Superpro LCA’s thanks for everyone’s feedback. With the great Black Friday deal going on right now, I decided to go for it, super excited to try these out and I hope they hold up to these northeast winters! I hope this thread keeps going as people can share their real world results and feedback.

When I ordered my LCA’s from Superpro USA two weeks ago the item page said, “PRE-ORDER - SHIPS APPROX. 26-NOV-22” I called today to get an update and unfortunately now they’re estimating my LCA’s won’t ship until end of January! Ouch! Beware of shipping delays… it’s now Dec 1st but the item page still says, “PRE-ORDER - SHIPS APPROX. 26-NOV-22” though that date has already passed. If your looking to buy these you might try calling Apache Off-road to check if they have any in stock. I empathize with companies dealing with shipment issues but I do wish companies would be more honest and let their customers know of any potential delays before they take your money. I’m excited about these new LCA’s but so far we’re not off to the best start.

I have a set of the HD high caster arms from JBA that I will be installing and I am trying to figure out what to go with for an LCA, my OEM ones are toast. What is your take on the JBA UCA + SuperPro LCA combo? I'm worried about "too much caster" if I get the offset SuperPro LCAs compared to their "oem replacement" geometry. Is this something I should be worried about?

TIA

-Bill

Just a little update here and some additional info folks may or may not find helpful:

So I received my Superpro LCAs a week ahead of schedule, maybe Superpro was trying to make up for my initial shipping disappointment or maybe the shipment from Australia got in sooner than expected. Either way it was a nice surprise!

I’ve been slammed with work and other things trying to find the time for my big install - I’ll be doing a little bit of an overhaul on the suspension cuz I’m also replacing my stock UCA’s with Dobinsons aluminum billet adjustable UCA’s, replacing sway bar links with OCD, new sway bar bushings, and inner and outer tie rod ends… it’s a big job and I’ll need an extra hand so putting off the install for a couple more weeks but excited to finally get it all done. I’ll send an update again once I do my install.

Back to the Superpro LCA’s - they look legit, very well built, they feel beefy and strong, and the bushings and hardware look good 👍🏼 I’m excited to give them a try. In the meantime, I was curious how much extra “caster” they actually provide, since none of the specs listed on any websites for these actually say, so I inquired on the Superpro USA website. Here’s what I found out:

(Me)
Hello I’m just trying to follow up on a question I had regarding your TRC482 LCAs. The item is described as having “extra” caster. I know it has 0.6 degrees of extra camber. But specifically how much “extra” caster do these provide over stock LCAs for a 2005 4runner?

(Superpro)
Hi, after speaking with R&D here this would be in the 0.4 range with the offsets set against eachother, but the figure varies from vehicle.

I found this all a bit interesting! At first I was a little disappointed, most people lifting their trucks to off-road rave about getting extra caster, that’s another topic I’m not going to get too much into here. But how many people are actually wanting to get more “caster” just from their LCA’s? From what I gather - most everyone does that with their UCA’s, so I’m not sure the true advantage here of getting extra “caster” from your LCA’s - but maybe it’s just a clever marketing tactic because in comparison to the 3 to 4 degrees you can get with adjustable UCA’s like JBA or SPC, 0.4 deg with these LCA’s is not very much if your chasing after extra “caster”. But what I’ve concluded so far is that what you ARE getting, if you buy these, is some very well built beefy LCA’s with some very cool poly bushings (hopefully they don’t squeak). And yes they have “some” extra adjustment. I’ll follow with an update again, once I do the install. Maybe some of the other experts here can correct me if I mentioned anything off-base, inaccurate, or if I’m missing something important?

Hey Bill, my previous post might shed some light on the topic for you. Since the extra caster from these would only amount to 0.4 deg and that would only be if it was maxed out, I don’t think it would be a problem for you. I’m assuming you have at least a 2” lift if not more since you bought the JBA UCA’s. As for these Superpro LCAs, they seem like a good alternative to OEM if your willing to try out poly bushings and your ok with a tighter road feel.

IMO the biggest benefit of the Super pro LCA is their bushings and the manner in which they allow the arm to move freely as opposed to stock. Yor stock ones are basically "locked" in place and forced to move only by twisting the rubber bushings, the SP move freely and thus "should" give better articulation and "feel". I have their bushings installed in my stock arms and it's difficult to recognize the "feel"! I just know it's better!

Update: I did the install with these new Superpro LCAs and I couldn’t be happier. They’re very well built and the bushings look and feel great. Everything mounted up pretty easy for the type of job thankfully I have no rust. No clearance issues as some others reported concerns about. Lots of adjustability. Superpro built these things solid. Can’t wait to hit the trails. Some had mentioned a tighter road feel, and I wasn’t sure how much I would like that but I have to say it feels great! Time will tell how these will hold up but we’re off to a great start!

I've got about 30k miles on my SuperPro offset LCAs and have had zero issues. They will hold up just fine.
