Buyers Guide

Hi everyone...

I'm looking to pick up a 2nd gen, maybe 3rd gen 4runner, but really don't know enough about how they hold up and what I should watch for.

Is there some link or resource available. I've searched the forum and poked around the site and haven't found this kind of thing (which probably means it's in plain sight)

A lot of these things are pretty high mileage, and I'd like to know how reliable they are, what fails first, any vehicle-specific areas to watch out for and have a garage check... etc.

Thanks for any help!

I like 3rd Gen's. For some reason there are boatloads of them in my area.
