Electrical Gremlins

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions based on this fun story.

1. Rear wiper would intermittently turn on for no reason (even when the keys are out).

2. The AC system would stay on even after taking the keys out. You can hear the blower motor whirring and the AC control lights would stay on. The LCD screen would also have the mpg/ac readouts on, which usually disappear when you shut off the car. It would take about a minute or two before it would turn off on it's own.

The combo of those two things killed my battery, so I had to swap in a new one over the weekend. When I did, these things happened:

1. As soon as I attached the neg. terminal, the horn/alarm went off immediately. So I took off the neg. terminal, locked all the doors manually, put the neg. terminal back on and while the horn was going off, unlocked the driver side door, which turned off the alarm. Only issue is- I'm not sure how to enable the alarm- the key fob doesn't work- I click the unlock & lock buttons and nothing happens now.

2. Rear wiper isn't going off anymore, so that's good, but the AC system is still acting the same.

3. Turn signals stay on, even with the key out. I had to pull the turn signal fuse to make sure the battery didn't die again.

So yeah, fun times. I'm about to get some holy water and toss it on my 4R, as it may be possessed.

Look for the MG CLT relay in the fuse box next to the battery.
Pull it out of there and leave it out.

Pull out the FR FOG relay and put it into the MG CLT location.

See if that fixes things (your fog lights obviously won't work)

When I replaced the battery, the rear wiper issue seems to have gone away, it's the other items that have popped up now haha. Electrical issues are the worst, they seem to be so much tougher to pinpoint.
