4th gen T-stat jiggle valve location?

Pulled the thermostat out to flush cooling system.

Have to pull T-stat apart because it is built into the housing.

I think the jiggle valve was at 12'o clock/top side... only getting back 3rd gen search results, they seem to be in the 6'o clock position.

Anyone have a 4th gen T-stat on the bench you can check?
Guess i can get a new one...

Yes put it at the 6 o’clock position. It will/should run about 10-13 degrees cooler!!

The OEM Stat I removed, the jiggle was at 10 o'clock.

The Stant I installed, the jiggle is at 12 o'clock.

One of its functions is to bleed air from the cooling system on initial fill so you would want it at 12 o'clock so in highest position to allow air to escape and not 'pocket' above it.
