Strange Electrical Behavior, now No Start..HELP

I have a 2006 SRS V6 (w/remote start installed before my ownership) and I have an issue that I was unable to find anything similar on the board.

I've owner for 2 years without issue (except this haunted electrical issue).

- One day the truck would not start (no crank no click) so I had to jump it and took the batter to get tested and was told it was 100%
- Reinstalled battery and it started no problem like nothing ever happened
- One night driving home from the airport, each time I put on my brights (with the fog lights also on), they radio would cut out for about 1 second and come back on. This was hit of miss and not 100% of the time
- Then I noticed (again at night) that when I put the turn signal on, the radio would cut out for about 1 second and come back on. This was hit or miss and hasn't happened since this lone incident
- Went to start the truck a couple months ago at the airport after a couple day trip and it would not start (great feeling at 1am). I popped the hood and just jiggled the battery cables and it started up
- Just while randomly driving and not clicking any lights or turn signals, the radio can cut off for about 1 second and come back on.
- Just today, went out to start the truck and no crank, no click. The interior light isn't going on, the unlock command from the transmitter does like a quick chirp and doesn't complete the unlock process. Unfortunately, this time jiggling the batter cables is not helping and the dome light is still not going on. Still no crank and no click and maybe faint dash lights for a fraction of a second.

The only other things of note:
- I have something plugged into my OBD port (car insurance driving monitor).
- I'm pretty sure the remote start is aftermarket
- Key Fob for remote starter is also NOT turning the truck over

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might be a short in one of your wires, but since its all over it might be difficult to isolate.

I had an issue with mine when using the turn signal my car would shut down for a second while driving.

Disconnect all of the battery cable ground to chassis and ground to engine connections and clean them and the connection points down to clean shiny metal and reconnect them, a iffy ground connection can do some strange thing and hopefully that's your issue.

Also do the same for both battery connections just for good measure.

about an hour ago, I decided to disconnect the positive battery cable and clean off the terminal...no dice

then I disconnected the negative and tried to touch different pieces of metal to see if I got any life and no dice.

As a last resort I figured, why not jump start it since thats usually the most obvious problem.

As I went to the rear lift gate to get the jumper cables, the electronic latch for the rear gate apparently woke something up and the dome light went on inside.

Tried to start the car and it turned over and started....stalled right away the first time, but after that I was able to start it up about 5 times without issue.

Does the waking up of the electrical from trying to open the lift gate latch trigger any thoughts or possibilities?

Usually issues like this are a bad ground.

If you say you shook the harness and it started working again that’s a clue. We used to diagnose this by having the car running and shaking gently the harnesses and wires around the car.

Electrical issues can be frustrating and difficult to diagnose. But when you find the culprit it is often a simple thing like a worn wire touching the frame.

Good luck!
