Discoverer HTP 265 /65 R17 112T vs. Kumho, Q4 2019?
So I am finally going to forcibly retire a pair of Bridgestone Duelers that just refuse to wear out, and was going to replace with Kumho Crugen to match those two I have on the front [the Duelers on the rear]. The Duelers are at least 4 years old, maybe older and no telling how many miles - they were used when I got the vehicle and I have put nearly 70K on them, and the tread still looks ok... not great but ok. the problem is that they change daily... I get a shake from the rear that comes and goes between 68-88 mph, and right now it has come to stay [weather? its cooler].
My real question is: the Kumho Crugen HT51's on the front so far as I can tell have been excellent. Relatively quiet for the vehicle, grip well in rain, hold their pressure well. pickup rocks like tweezers. When I read about the Discoverer HTP's I see a lot of love including people saying they're quiet. Should I switch? I HATE road noise. I HATE wind noise too which the 4runner is notorious for, but between the 2 I HATE road noise worse.
? your opinion matters. Fair and balanced...
