I have 55,000 miles on mine now, and they are down from 15/32 new to about 8/32, so are wearing very well. I can't agree with the traction complaints I read on this forum. This is my ski vehicle, so it sees a lot of snow and ice, and I've never felt the least bit insecure with these tires. They started out dead quiet, but have picked up a little noise in the last 15,000 miles or so. Gas mileage was identical to what I had before (Wild Country M+S). I'll probably run them another 10,000 or so and then replace them with the identical tire.

I am running 275/70-17's with my 2.75-3" lift on my '03 Sport for my summer tires and they are pretty good. Last summer had about 8000 kms and minimal wear. They rub a little on fenders at full lock and compression but not a big deal.

Little noiser than the old Michelins i had before the lift and new rims but not bad at all.

I am in Calgary and the one thing that i noticed is though they are M+S rated, they are not that great for winter driving. I have Blizzaks on my stock rims and will continue to use those in winter. The K02's are moderately acceptable in deep snow but on anything with ice, they are terrible. Maybe I am spoiled by the Blizzaks but for me, BFG's are summer only.

Thank you for mentioning the snow/ice performance! This is relevant to my interests as I'm in CO. I'd like to find an A/T that's as good on ice/snow as Blizzaks but I'm kinda doubtful that's possible.

Look into the Falken Wildpeak AT3W. The KO2 was on the top of my list before I started deeply researching tires for this rig. After reading WAY too many threads and reviews to count, I came to the conclusion that the Falkens were the way to go, and what sealed the deal was actually rolling one out of the store to put against my then Toyo Open Country AT2 tires. Granted I was moving up in size, but even the overal look was so much better that I was sold. They also have a triple peak snow/ice rating which was huge for me as we generally have some bad winter driving here. Then there is the price difference. Not saying the KO2 isn’t a great tire, but for the specs of the Falken (and being WAY cheaper), made them a no-brainer for me.

the KO2s are, IMO, the best AT for snow outside of possibly putting studs into some General Grabber ATs.

Had Falken Wildpeak ATW3s and they were great for the snow, but didn't get much mileage out of them. the KO2s last forever and are super solid in the snow. as for finding tires that are as good as Blizzacks, they don't exist. just use Blizzacks on a separate set of wheels.

Read the last post in this topic posted today on what mileage to expect from the Falken Wildpeak ATW3s.

Others in this topic have reported better mileage, not sure what would cause such a difference from one T4R to another.

For daily drivers who've gone through a set of Falken Wildpeaks

yup, loved the Falkens, but the mileage we got was around 30k...not good enough for the cost savings.

to note, there is a P version of the tire and an LT. the LT version is more expensive, but probably would last longer. I didn't decide to try, just went with the KO2s.

Agreed on your point re: the Blizzaks. They’re such a major improvement for winter driving.

How do you compare the Falkens to the Toyos?
I currently have the Toyos, and will for quite some time (they came on the truck)

Meh, I was strongly considering 2 sets of wheels/tires anyway, so I guess I'll just go that route. Looking at the silver lining, I have the opportunity to drastically change the look of my 4R (which I don't yet own, lol) twice a year!

My truck came with them as well, so they were probably half worn so I can’t speak to their “new” performance. I can say that they were downright scary in slippery snow/icy conditions, which shocked me being that I have the v8 with full time 4WD. My wife actually got scared and said “why don’t you have the 4WD engaged?!” In all fairness, there was a CEL at the time so the VSC/Trac was off, but still no excuse for slippery feeling I encountered. They looked pretty decent, but inmo either the Falken or the KO2 have more aggressive looks to them, which I personally wanted. It wasn’t as important as traction, or handling, but was definitely in the top few qualities I was looking for. I literally can’t break traction with the Falkens, without being really stupid, or disabling the VSC/Trac (and being really stupid, lol).

I 'would've say that snow performance doesn't concern me, living in rural AZ.
But....
We moved here in June (a couple of years ago) and it was 120°f, and got hotter.
Six months later my kids built a 4 foot tall snowman in the front yard.
It does snow 1 or 2 times a year.

Can’t speak for the bfg’s but I have nitto ridge grapplers and so far I’m loving them. They’ve seen snow ice and mud and handled it all quite well on my v8 full time 4wd. Never even locked out the center diff. Road noise is very subtle as well.
