Alignment probs?

Thinking of getting my Daystar leveling kit installed soon. But I want to get my alignment done back in my old neighborhood with a buddy that works in a shop. He'll usually do it for free and does damn good job at it. Unfortunately he lives about 2.5-3 hours away from me. Will installing the 2.5/1.5 Daystar kit and then heading back to Chicago on a 2.5 hr drive hurt the tires at all? Should I worry about wear? I have 265/70/17 Duratracs. About like two weeks old.

You will be fine as long as you don't have excessive toe angles which you shouldn't from a lift. I drove more than that on my new tires after my 3in lift. I was ok.

Toe set

Since you are driving that far I would suggest to at least get the toe set before hit the road, use a tape measure and get some readings before doing the lift then get it close to your readings after the lift your camber will be out anyway you just want to avoid chewing up the tires.
