New to me

I drove to Georiga (From Michigan) to pick up this 2005 V8 Sport. It had 187K miles on it. Not bad for this year! It is also pretty clean in terms of rust. The Frame had some on it but nothing to be worried about. A wire wheel and only 15minutes of work and She is Tight!

So here is a list of what I have done so far to my 2005 4Runner Sport 4.7L

* FJ Cruiser Suspension swap from a 2011 FJ TRD Bilstein's & springs
*1.5” Spacers in front.
* Front end alignment
* Driver side CV Axle
* New sway bar Links in front
* New Front Rotors, Calipers and Ceramic Pads
* New Rear Calipers and Pads 7/13/2020
* All fluids changed Rear Diff, Front Diff, T-Case, Engine Oil & Antifreeze
* Rear Diff Breather
* Timing belt, Water pump and all related components (at 187,975 miles)
* And a Big Shout out to Jeff Slyfox75 for his SAIP eliminate kit
* 1.250” wheel spacers
* Falken Wildpeake AT3 265/70R17 Tires
* LED Interior lights
* License Plate LED lights
* TPMS Disable
* Paint Grill, Hood Scoop, under hood valance, and rear valance
* Lights in heater controls
* Rear Drawer/Bed platform
* Rear swing out tire carrier
* Rear fold down Table
* DT long tube headers and Custom Y Pipe.
* MagnaFlow Stainless Muffler
* HDHP Designs Aluminum Full length Roof Rack
* Jerry Can and Jerry Can Holder
* 42" Plano hard case

I really like the look of it now! Who knows I might sell it......

This is a fun build and I enjoy building things that the Big companies want way too much money for!

I'm curious what did you pay and how many miles on it? If you don't mind.

Sure man. I'm in SC if that helps. It's got 217k miles. The 4Lo / CDL isn't engaging and the rear driver's side door cladding was ripped off (I have a replacement/clips already). On the plus side. It's got a recent timing belt/water pump replacement, a super nice alpine 9 inch head unit, and some offroad goodies that all would amount to around the price I paid anyways (ARB deluxe front bumper, smitty 10k lb winch, lights, roof rack, mild lift). *edit: the frame has also been sprayed with a rust inhibitor stuff which I'm not familiar with because I'm in the south, but it looks great.

With all of this known going into it, I paid $5k for it.

I'm fairly mechanically inclined so I am betting on myself being able to remedy the 4LO/CDL problems *fingers crossed* along with a few other quirks and turn this into a solid DD.

The grille actually looks good and so do the paint on the body beside the scuff on front bumper. I like the black out look on silver more than I do on white for some reason.

Thanks! The front bumper will be replaced by a new eBay bumper. Also, I had a sleeper/drawer set up in my 2010 F150 the 5.4L motor took a shit @ 103K miles so I sold the truck and kep the sleeper set-up and now I am doing some cutting and mods to it and use it in my 4Runner. I think it will turn out awesome! I will post pics of it when I am finished!

I Built a bed storage system for my 2010 F150. When I sold the truck I keep it. I knew that with some minor cuts and mods it would fit into my 2005 4Runner. I know what you are going to say. "That's too thin it will not last" or "It will fall apart" Well I had this in the F150 for 3 years and 40K+ miles and it is fine!
Anyways here it is installed in my 4Runner. It is about 99% complete and I like it!! Oh, yea the left drawer handle is a little crooked. Too many Wobbly Pops! Lol, Don't worry I fixed it.
