Unlatch new tailgate latch
So I replaced the tailgate on my 07 sr5. The latch came closed and I have the door installed and everything works but I cant get the latch open to close it. Any thoughts?

There are 2 levers on the lock mechanism that I believe locks or releases. Can't remember off hand which lever and what direction but I'm sure you can find via Google. You may be able to access by removing a little plastic cover on inside back panel or may need to remove the whole panel. Had to do when replaced my lock a few years ago.

You need to reset the door. Everything was unplugged when you changed the door. Try locking and unlocking with the fob a couple of times. I bet the window won't roll down either, same reason.

Only real problem I have with that hatch: it requires voltage to work. Good thing I have 2 batteries. Merry Christmas.
