Power locks died

So I replaced my liftgate yesterday. My father started cutting the wires before I unconnected the battery. It sparked. We got the new gate was installed and everything works except my key fobs and I have no constant power to the locks. Meaning my locks only work when the key is on.

Any thoughts?

When you disconnect the battery, everything needs to be reset. Power locks, windows, sun visor. Close all doors. Lock with the fob a couple times. Then try it again

Fob is dead. I get no response from fob and nothing from locks unless the acid on. Super weird. It seems like the loop for the constant power to the power locks has been broken. I'm liking the anti theft module being bad after the tail gate transplant.

The body control module, which controls the locks, should have a constant 12V to it with the ignition off. It gets the constant 12v power from the 10A "ECU-B" fuse in the engine bay. My guess is that you blew the fuse when you shorted the wires while removing the tailgate.

I checked that fuse and it looks good. Any other ideas?

There's a 20A fuse for the power door locks but it's unlikely your issue since they work with the ignition key ON. Is everything else working like your dome lights and door ajar indicator light (instrument cluster) with the ignition off?

No. I have no power without the key. No dome lights, nothing.

Either the constant 12v signal to the body control module is broken which would be due to a blown ECU-B fuse or faulty wiring or you could potentially have a bad BCM, both which are highly likely given your circumstances. I would first check to make sure you're getting 12v to the BCM with the ignition off.

If you pull the cover for the interior fuse box/distribution block/BCM there will be a white 13 pin connector (smaller of the two) on lower right. Remove the connector and check for 12v on Pin #4 (white wire w/red stripe) with the ignition off. If there's no power there then you have a broken link between the ECU-B fuse to the distribution block/BCM.
