Winch for ARB Bumper

ARB only lists Warn winches as "compatible". I know they are great, but I'm not ready to spend over a grand on a winch.
My local 4X4 shop advised against trying anything other than Warn.

Does anyone know which 9-10k lb winches will fit? Ideally, from your experience.

Thanks,
Glen

Most winches that do not have an integrated control box will fit. I'm pretty sure the mounting bolt pattern is universal. 10 x 4.5 in. Sometimes with the Warn and Warn off-brands you need to clock the clutch end to make the selector handle accessable, so be sure to check for that.

arb

Have you seen the Engo or VR8 in an ARB? I can't tell if the control box is removable or if it will stick out and hit the radiator, etc.
