Sunroof flew off on the interstate!
Today was one of the scariest days of my life. I was riding down I-485 in Charlotte when I noticed that my sunroof was letting a lot of wind in my car. Keep in mind that I always keep my sunroof closed. The sunroof I had was 13 years old and was put on right when we purchased the 4runner back in 07. Whenever the sunroof is closed I usually crack it to make the sunroof less noisy. So I pressed the button on the highway to make the noise go away and as soon as I pressed the button the sun roof flew off and went flying. The sound of it ripping off scared me and thank God that it didn't hit anybody or anything. I took the 4runner to Auto Toyz and they said that it was covered by warranty. I was talking to the guy and apparently the glass that the sunroof was made with was poorly manufactured and caused water to seep into the sunroof making it rusty and loose. They replaced it with a brand new sunroof and best of all this sunroof didn't make ANY noise when i'm driving so God Bless. Thanks for listening to my story!
