CV Axle Clunk over Bumps

Been dealing with a CV clunk, most noticeably on left side best duplicated when driving over the reflective bumps on roads and on hard dirt roads. Since I've heard the clunk, I've so far replaced both CV's (with CVJ reman), did the ECGS needle bearing, oem lower arms , oem cam bolts, oem left steering spindle, inner/outer tie rods and torqued all suspension and noise still occurs. Been living with it but is especially annoying when on hard dirt roads.

Noise sounds just like this video when driving at speed and is able to be duplicated hitting the CV where it goes into the front diff with a rubber mallet. I've taken off my sway bar and the noise still happens. Would the fix just be to replace the front diff at this point? Anyone else had a similar issue? Will try to set up a GoPro and record the noise this week.

Many folks have had a similar noise occur coming from the front brake pads moving within the caliper. A new set of pad springs typically resolves the issue. Sounds like you’ve replaced most everything. Would hate for it to have been something so simple - but if you’re like me, a noise like that cannot go unfixed.

Try replicating the sound by driving over the reflector bumps, but riding the brake pedal ever so slightly. If the noise is gone, you’ve found your issue.

I am in a similar boat and curious to see your results. Like you, I have replaced CV's, installed the ECGS bushing, LCA's & bolts, sway bar end links, calipers/pads/rotors are new, I did UCAs when I did my suspension a year ago, etc. The only thing I have left on my current list is replace the sway bar bushings despite the fact that the ones installed look ok. I haven't gone so far as to remove my sway bar, you're ahead of me there. I was hoping the ECGS bushing would solve it, since there was noticeable play in the left CV shaft where it mates with the diff, but no dice.
