Is it just me? this one looks thicker than the other pic posted and has a backing plate.
What am I missing?

Sharing some pics of NTK Fab's work on my 2017 4R. I chose NTK after seeing this thread during my research. I followed Nick's IG and realized he was down the road in NC. Seeing the very good work he does online gave me confidence. Also, he recommended another fab guy in VA to do the install to save me the drive but that guy had relocated. In the end, I'm very happy I took it to Nick. Quality work and there were certainly details he was aware of as a professional welder that I would have missed if trying to do this DIY.
What can I expect to pay to have this done locally?
Nice to see people still on this thread! I like the new design alot too! I hadnt seen that before so that must be his new way of doing it. Nick isnt afraid to rework things a few times to get the process just right and I really like that about him. Some people never update a product because of pride

I need to do more cutting on my bumper and fenders so I can really take advantage of this relocation. All kinds of room at the mount now, but I miss cleanly turning full lock while backing up lmao.

I mainly rub at the back of the wheel well because I need to hammer the pinch weld more, cut the fenders more, and adjust my alignment forward with my SPCs and LCAs

My dad and I tackled this over the weekend with a stick welder frame repair kit, sawzaw, angle grinder, impact, ratchet and this kit itself. It was not too bad and needed done anyways because front right one had collapsed. Took us about 10 hours and since the mig iode broke the stick weld worked for him. Not the prettiest job but it was alright
