Design of N210 4Runner, 1999 to 2000

For several years, I've had these internal photos and many more of how Toyota designed the N210 aka 4th generation 4Runner and Hilux Surf during the late 1990s and developed it through 2002, before being launched in October 2002 as an '03 model.

Let me know if of relevance to you to provide a full length post in March.

Future Mods: Pioneer 9" Headunit for CarPlay Wireless (CES 2020, release date 3/20) and upgraded sound system; Noise cancelling material (4 doors); Doug Thorley Headers and all that exhaust stuff (assuming I can pass Denver inspections); 2.5-3" suspension lift for mountain trails. If I ever have money to burn, I'll supercharge it

What are the chances the last two pictures are of the same vehicle? One has SR5 badged on the side the other Limited, and the SR5 has the grey plastic fender flares. Could be the same vehicle just swapped half/half for prototyping?

Really late response (of mine), but I am going to finally get to work on translating and reporting on this, plus 3rd generation development. I am not sure, as back in 2000 maybe there were two different mockups and not the halfside of each? You're probably right.
